Rakesh, a dashing naval officer, was just 48 when he ended his commission with the Indian Navy and received his retirement benefits. But as he looked forward to moving on from an armed forces career to a more chaotic civilian life, he was worried about whether life would be smooth sailing for his wife and two daughters still in high school. He’d been fending off pitches from determined LIC agents, when a radio interview with one of the Hexagon founders impressed him.
Funding his daughters’ post-graduate degrees, giving them weddings of their dreams and securing a comfortable retirement lifestyle.
